Soundguard doors are available in two different ratings; STC 34 and STC 40, both of which are well above the normal stud wall sound ratings (approx. STC 32). Soundguard 34 would be sufficient to reduce the noise level of a conversation to a muffled level. Should more privacy be required or if amplification is used, Soundguard 40 would be recommended.
